International shipping cannot be evaluated only by the item price. Parcel cost and delivery options depend on destination, actual or volumetric weight, route rules and optional services.
Understand chargeable weight
Some routes charge the larger of actual weight and volumetric weight. Bulky but light products can therefore cost more than expected.
Compare route restrictions
Review accepted product types, size limits, insurance, tracking, delivery estimate and customs-related restrictions. The cheapest route is not automatically the most suitable.
Use packaging options deliberately
Removing unnecessary outer boxes can reduce volume, but fragile or collectible items may need more protection. Choose packaging based on the product rather than applying one rule to every parcel.
Check destination-country rules
Import taxes, declarations, prohibited items and customs treatment vary by country. The buyer remains responsible for checking local requirements.
