If you saved an ACBuy product link and now need the seller’s original listing, open the saved link and look for two details: the marketplace and its item number. A long ACBuy address sometimes shows both. A short address made of letters and numbers usually needs to open successfully before you can see either. Keep the original message or spreadsheet row while you work. It can answer a question the link alone cannot: which seller, colour or size did you mean to save?
A real ACBuy-to-Weidian example
A supplier’s public album for a bag, reference 224605-181H, lists an ACBuy address and a Weidian address together. This gives you a way to check how to read the number without relying on a converter or assuming that two similar photographs belong to the same seller.
- ACBuy address in the album:
www.acbuy.com/product?id=7436948784&source=WD. - Seller’s address in the same album:
weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7436948784. - What matches: both contain
7436948784. The ACBuy source field isWD, and the paired seller URL is on Weidian.
Notice that the supplier’s reference, the listing number and any variant identifier serve different purposes. Searching Weidian for the album reference is a different operation from opening the listing number. And the address alone does not select the bag in a particular colour. The published pair documents how these two links correspond. For a purchase today you would still need to open the listing, identify the seller, choose the option you want and check the displayed price and availability.
There is one more useful check when a spreadsheet has several link columns. Read the column heading before treating a link as the source. A row can contain an agent link, a photo album and a separate link for a cheaper alternative. Open them in separate tabs and label the tabs in your notes. If the visible item number in the agent link disagrees with the one on the supposed source page, leave both numbers in your note. Ask which page belongs to the row instead of quietly substituting the cheaper item. A matching price is weaker evidence than a matching seller and listing number.
Read the address you actually have
Start with a product detail page. If you copied a seller homepage, a search result or a photograph opened in its own tab, return to the product card and open the item before copying. On a phone, use the product’s share control if it offers one. Paste the result into a plain note first. Share messages sometimes include a caption, a price or an invitation beside the actual address. Look at the complete link rather than typing the number you remember.
Check the domain to identify the site, then look for fields after the question mark. In the worked example, id= introduces the item number and & separates it from the next field. Other URLs may contain a seller number, tracking number or invitation code in addition to a listing number. A string of ten digits is not enough to identify its role. If you have a platform and a clearly labelled item number, keep them together. If one is missing, look for the source link on the product page or in the seller’s original post.
Recognise the marketplace before using the number
| Marketplace | Common product-address clue | What to keep |
|---|---|---|
| Weidian | weidian.com/item.html?itemID=… | The complete value of itemID. |
| Taobao or Tmall | item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=… or detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=… | The original domain and the item’s id. |
| 1688 | detail.1688.com/offer/….html | The offer number in the path. |
The dots in the table stand for a number and are not part of a usable URL. Mobile links and share links can look different. An address that differs from these patterns may still lead to the right item. Open it, look at the page it reaches and compare the seller and item details. Do not take a number from one marketplace and try it on several others until a photograph looks close. A different shop may sell a similar product or use the same catalogue image.
Handle an embedded address or a short share link
Some product links contain a complete seller URL inside a field such as url=. You may see https%3A%2F%2F where you expected https://. That notation allows one URL to travel inside another. A nested link may even be encoded more than once. The simplest route is often to open the product normally and use the original listing link if the page offers one. If you read the embedded value yourself, keep the whole marketplace address, including the item parameter. Removing everything after the question mark would remove the Weidian or Taobao number you need.
A short address on link.acbuy.com or l.acbuy.com needs a different approach. Keep the short link intact and follow it from the place where you received it. If it opens the app, look for the product detail screen and a share or source link there. If it ends at a homepage or a sign-in screen, you have not yet identified the item. The letters in the shortened path do not give you a reliable way to calculate a Weidian, Taobao or 1688 number. Ask the sender for the marketplace URL or the original seller post. For an existing order, refer to that order in your usual support channel.
Check the exact option before you reuse the link
Imagine saving a photo of a blue jacket and returning to a listing that opens on black. The item number can be correct in both cases. First check whether the seller and product description match the source you recorded. Then select the intended colour, size and version and read the price shown for that combination. For a set, check whether the option covers one piece or the full set. For a 1688 listing, check the minimum quantity and the price for the quantity you actually plan to buy. Preserve the seller’s option label if translation makes two options sound identical.
Take one note showing the marketplace, item number, seller, option, quantity and date. If size matters, save the relevant row in the seller’s size chart with the unit of measurement. When comparing two spreadsheet entries, start with marketplace and item number. Matching values suggest the same listing, even if the agent or tracking details differ. Different listings with matching photos deserve a separate seller and option check. Shipping costs and warehouse inspection belong to later stages and cannot establish which original listing you saved.
When the seller page opens but ACBuy shows an error
Try the direct product address without the surrounding share text. ACBuy’s shopping guide describes pasting a marketplace link and explains that some items open a DIY order page for manual purchasing. If you reach that form, use the verified seller link, exact variant and quantity you recorded. Where the price or an option remains unclear, ask for clarification before authorising a purchase. A manual request cannot restore a deleted listing or establish that the product is eligible. Use the ACBuy product-link troubleshooting guide to distinguish an import error from a restriction.
If the seller page itself is unavailable, save a record of what you could verify and where the trail ended. A replacement listing supplied later needs its own check, even when it comes from the same shop. Keeping the original share together with the confirmed seller address takes only a moment and makes the next comparison much easier.
